Hi, I’m Karen Pearson. I’m the director and owner of Jackson & Green Accountants in Portsmouth. Established in 1974, we are one of the few truly independent, larger firms of accountants remaining in this area. We’ve been looking after a wide range of clients over the years, from the smallest start-ups to companies now with turnovers around 5 million.

We’ve been working with Interpro for nearly 15 years now, and in that time, both we and Interpro have grown exponentially.

The reason we value working with them is because their ethos has always remained closely aligned with ours. They’re highly client-centric, always looking to add value, and, more importantly, they often bring solutions to me before I even realize there’s a problem.

Over the last seven years I’ve been with Jackson & Green, and in the last four in particular, I’ve worked closely with Interpro to ensure that all of our technological and IT requirements are being met.

In 2021, we purchased our new offices on Cosham High Street. Interpro attended on-site meetings with our project managers, ensuring all of our technological requirements were covered.

In July 2022, Interpro assisted by seamlessly migrating all our IT hardware and software to the new office, minimizing any interruption to our business. That was a massive help.

Whether it’s a small query like Outlook not syncing or a necessary software update, myself or the team can call Interpro and they’ll resolve it. They’re always on hand to make sure our needs are met.

There’s one situation that stands out. I was sitting a remote exam in December, and the technology failed. I needed urgent help to sit the exam. A member of the Interpro team remotely accessed my laptop, liaised with the remote invigilator, and got everything working again so I could sit the exam—which I ended up passing. That success is thanks to Interpro.

As you’d expect, their staff are very professional—but it’s more than that. They’re always available, friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. They don’t treat us like we should know everything about their world.

It’s reassuring to know that when we have a problem, it’ll be sorted and I don’t have to worry about it.

In accountancy, we live in a highly regulated world, and compliance is everything. I need to be confident that someone is looking after all the services we can’t handle in-house.
